Mouse no worky, keyboard not responsive

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 10:44 pm

I bought this game once the price dropped. I've played Fallout 3, with no problems all the way through (except periods of crashing which was annoying, and I would have to back out a few save games to get a stable save).

I start the game with the launcher. The mouse pointer never appears after this point. The mouse does not work in the game at all.

The keyboard works, allowing me to tab through and create a character. When that is done, you are instructed to take a walk and the game starts. NOTHING works at all, the game is running (the map ticker is blinking), but no keyboard or mouse commands work. CTRL+ALT+DEL does work, and the keyboard/mouse work perfectly with every other game.

I expected the game to be buggy. But I also expected to be able to play it at least a couple of times.

Has any one had similar issues?

After you start the game from the launcher do you click anywhere? If you click on the desktop or another program it can mess up the interface in the game.

If that's not the issue here I'd suggest posting a DXDIAG, there are instructions pinned to the top of this forum. :)

Support is indicating it might have something to do with my Xbox360 controller. I'll try that when I get home :)

THANKS FOR REPLYING!
