Ps Move And Fallout New Vegas

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 1:40 pm

i think fallout new vegas would be better if the sony move and sub controller was used in the game.the aiming, moving, menu selection, and vats usage would be great.it would be even cooler if you could pinpoint where you want to hit someone in vats with the motion controller.im really looking forward to this game as i have spent more than 400 hours playing fallout3 and fallout3 goty.the experience of a hardcoe game like fallout being motion controlled with refinements from the great minds at zenimax would be the best thing in the world.

making a game motion compatible would be quite the undertaking, especially for something not really done and out there, it would just tack on months of development time and even if I´m going to get it for PC I simply can´t see how the PS3 users would be happy waiting months after everybody else just for there version to use gimmicky controls that might not work well with the finish game.

I don't see how it could be done and it would be ridiculous if it was. This whole motion control movement is so gimmicky and over-hyped it makes me sick, I wish it was over and done with so developers can spend their valuable time making better games instead of wasting it on promises that the game doesn't keep and an avalanche of shovelware.

No!! No, no, no, no! No FNV for Natal or Move! Doing that would be a waste of time. NO!

so with a tentative release for sometime around september or november it would be a perfect time frame for the move to be enabled for this game; it would be the first fps style game to have move support. and after hearing about new vegas having iron sights it would be a greatly different experience playing with the move and using all the gui functions with motion and gestures than buttons and anolog.e3 is right around the corner and im hoping more developers support consumers who own sony products like the move.

That is the tentative release to finish what they are already doing. To add move support would extend that quite a bit I think. Even then the engine has to support it OR they will have to hire more programmers to write support into the engine, test, fix, test, etc. So if you would like support added for the move, expect a release somewhere around september to november next year. Something like this cannot just be "dropped in".

If you guys want to kill console gaming really quickly, keep asking for crap like this....

I'll sell my X360 the minute I'm forced to play a game I love with only NATAL controls. The Tony Hawk series already started down this self destructive road and I certainly hope other Devs see where it led....

So basically, you want to take what should be an RPG that is supposed to take character skill into account, and add more of a twitch-based aspect to it, where player skill can override the skill of the character you've made?

Count me out. One of the many things killing the RPG as we know it in modern times is the push toward action-y, player-skill-based gameplay components.

Just because something *can* use a motion controller, doesn't mean it *should*.

That's the big problem with alot of Wii games. Yeah, some of the games really work well with the motion controller - but then there's all the games that have an awkward motion interface bolted on just because it's "the cool new thing".

Not to mention, the Wii is a good way to destroy an expensive flat panel TV.

Only if the player's primitive mind can't comprehend using the wrist strap, and not moving around like a spastic child.

Unfortunately, many of today's "gamers" happen to fit that mold. :P

Yeah, I remember that one. But it's the result of the player moving around like a spastic child. None of the games I know of really call for movements which could cause enough force to break a cloth string.

But I digress. Motion sensing is a bad idea at any rate. It's a gimmick intended to add "LOL IMMERSHUN," but in the end it has only promoted heaps of shovelware.

The wrist strap isn't the problem. It's the addon attachments.

My question: Why?

This game, in no way, does it need motion controls. Not at all.

so now that the sony e3 conference is over; what are your intentions bethesda for making sure a great right f/tprpg like fallout will have move support. i really want to ditch the controller as i find its immature for my skill level; like its stupid that i should be getting carpel tunnel for being good at a game. i really want you guys to have move support at launch of fallout new vegas. there is no reason why a navigator and move cannot be implemented properly.

On the basis it's not been mentioned at E3 or in any fan interviews and that New Vegas is NOT a PS3 exclusive and is on three separate systems I think we can happily say New Vegas does not support PS Move.

Yeah! I love the idea... oh wait, sorry I thought you were talking about the game coming with free pudding, motion control is a no go, as they say "If it ain't broke, don't start proding it with a spanner."
PS3 motion thing is bad, Kinect is bad, and I'm an Xbox really devoted fan, Wii was the failure that started it all.

No game should support motion controls that was not originally designed for them from the ground up. NV was not meant for this, it's an RPG, and there are very few RPGs that I can see being enjoyable motion controlled.

(completely off topic: Fable The Lost Chapters on a Motion controller would be absolutely fantastic!!!! =))

Both Micro and Sony will fall on their bloated asses when they realize what big a failure these motion control gimmicks will be...the complete target group is already saturated with Wii games...they won't buy the same games again (4 years later...) just to have slightly better graphics...the sad thing is, that these motion control thingies are what Sony and Micro are depending on to save the industry...a failure could well kill both of them...

http://www.cracked.com/article_18608_the-day-gaming-industry-died-impressions-from-e3-2010.html

I am kinda surprised, that Sony jumped that wagon...they already experienced how serious gamers respond to Motion Control...Sixaxis anyone?...

And no...please no motion control for New Vegas (or any other serious game)...when I have the time to play videogames, I don't want to spend it jumping around in front of the TV an flailing my arms like a retard.

Might I suggest buying a pc?
