PS#3 Move ?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 12:32 pm

Anyone knows if Brink will suport PS3 new controls- Move?

I thinking in finally getting a new console and both the PS3+Move and Brink seems very good, I would love to see Brink suporting PS3 Move.

Anyone else would like to see that.

god i hope not... motion sensitivity is a novelty / casual gamer thing... Its a colossal waste of time, the wii is the 12 yr olds platform and never surmounted to anything, so i hope a great game like this wont delve into something as petty as motion controllers...

same. plus, it would probably push the development process back a while.

hey, well, some people actually like to be active. I play online games heaps so don't go ripping me off and calling me a casual gamer, but seriously, how is being active petty?

Damn, i am getting really fed up with people saying that motion controlled is for casual gamers. It's gonna be possible to use the PSM for SOCOM 4 when that comes out, try sayin motion controlled is only for casual gamers then.

As for it being implimented into Brink...i dont think it should for 2 reasons

1. Like others have said it will push back the shipping date
2. Even if it was implimented, Brink isnt built for motion controlled

I hope they don't make it for Kinect - they'll be a lot of fat kids breaking their ankles...

Also, this could be promising http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E66tuKQAMcU

Playstation move is one of those things that is like, um, going to get moderate amount of attention. Kinect is one of those things that is going to surpass the amount of attention that the Wii and the PS move get, or that it is going to fail hard and put Microsoft out of the console business.

Ridiculous prediction time, go!

But really, the only console producer that makes a significant amount of money off of their consoles is Nintendo, since both both Microsoft and Sony would be bankrupt without their other businesses.

If it pushes the development time back, NO!! Otherwise, I don't really care.

If Move does come available for use on Brink, it should not be required but not mandatory.
However Move is a novel idea

Motion control works best when you have a single system and its required. However as a cross-platform game Splash Damage would need to include support for both the PS3 Move and the XBox 360 (and PC) Kinect - as well as having the game work without motion control whatsoever. That's a considerable amount of variety to take in to account and chances are the motion control would just feel tacked on in the end. As it is gimmicky or poorly integrated motion control is a common criticism for wii games and that's the only type of controller the console has!

has anyone ever gotten a nintendo wii? heres what happens after you buy it. you start to play it actively using the fit board if you have it for about a week. after that u take a seat and just flick the controllers cause you found dancing around on a board a little [censored]. after you get bored of waving your arms in the air is when you sell it. i did all this and the first game i got when i had the ps3 was lair. it nearly made me destroy the ps3 after i found out i had to move my controller as i was playing. the point is i dont want this game to be like lair and ruin somone elses experience for getting a ps3. oh and i would stop following this game if we added that motion crap. +longer develepment = nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

well you guys are saying thing things

1. it will push the devolopment time back

2. no because that would mean all platforms will need it

3. have you seen the wii that svcks

well to answer them all

1. sony research and devolopment basically does it for the developer, with if the devoloper is thinking about it, they can send a demo to sony and they will incorporate PS move into it. and feedback from devs is that it is extremely quick to implement, took Zipper 2 weeks for Socom 4, and around the same for Killzone 3.

2. PS move for PS3 as an optional thing. it wouldn't work on the Kinect

3. PS move was in making before Wii, and didn't release it too prefect working ability while the Wii hardly works and unresponsive.

i say get it demo tested by Sony Rnd, if it works then do it. if its a sucess then Sony will proberly give free marketing along side the move which is a bonus.

It was stated at QuakeCon that they do not plan on supporting any of the motion control systems.

even mag just put out an online beta testing specifically made for the psm so i see no reason why brink won't be able to at least add it in the future

I like my controller/keyboard-mouse more than any motion control system.

Although I did like how Resistance used the Sixaxis to put out fires or detach sticky nades.
