Of Movement

Post » Wed Apr 06, 2011 7:19 am

The Movement in Fallout 3 was very unrealistic unless you were walking. For example, going up the stairs in FO3 and Oblivion is like going on up a slope, not stepping on individual steps, which has been mastered in many other games.

Does anyone know if this will be improved?

Well that is unfortunate. It takes away from the realism if you look at it the way I see it.

The problem with the running animations in FO3 is that it seems they forgot to enable Foot IK in the animations.

I find that the over the shoulder perspective coupled with improved animations (walking on ice problem) is much reduced, but i am glad more effort went into making the crosshairs aim properly because it was very difficult to aim with them. Things like walking animations on stairs will likely need to wait for another engine.

Way to be rude and incorrect Hgu.

One handed weapons aren't locked at 90 degrees while running = best improvement.

i noticed that too in quite a few vids, but the unfortunate thing is is that even though theres a new animation, it doesnt seem to have a diagnal running animation, only the usual up down left right, just updated.

I honestly didn't really have an issue with the movement in FO3.
