Movies that make you cry.

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 1:57 am

So I just finished watching Marley and Me... and I cannot stop crying. I can't name one movie that has ever reduced me to these levels of tears. Grown men crying, dogs dying or being hurt and people talking to graves cut through me like butter, and this film had all of that :cold:

What movies reduce you to whimpering uncontrollably with a wet shirt?

Movies like Old Yeller, Where The Red Fern Grows, movies where animals die. Not like if a mouse gets killed in a mousetrap thing, but like where the animal is a main character. Also parts of movies that make me think of times with my parents, knowing they won't be around forever.

Too many to list. I cry easily. For example, the Simpsons Movie. I am slightly ashamed.

I've seen plenty of sad movies, but I've never cried due to one.

Free Willy made me cry when I was younger.

Lord of the Rings makes me cry now, at quite a few parts. Can't really think of anything else.

Unfortuantly not. If I did I would never get any work done :whistling:

I've only ever cried at one film. Up got me a bit choked up but to actually shed a tear it's only been Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. Snape's memories and the the bit with Harry in the forest. Saw it 3 times, cried 2/3 times. I put it mostly down to emotional investment in the series, but the Snape bit is genuinely really sad.

Almost cried at Marley & Me at the end. I've never actually cried at a movie and that's the only one I remember bringing me close.
