Moving clumsier since I switched os to win7

Hiya! I'm hoping for some help on a issue I'm having with FNV since I switched to Windows 7. I'll do my best to describe how it feels:
For some reason moving feels clumsier, the character won't stop straight away when I stop, If I zoom out and watch myself move I'll take two steps and stop, then glide another step... strafing and turning sideways has the slightest delay which makes it annoying but not unplayable. I've no idea what is causing this as everything ran just fine on XP before without any of this delay.

Not sure if it helps but the specs im running:
Ati 4850 radeon
AMD phenom x6 2,8ghz
8 gb of ram

Thankful for any help I can get :)

I have the exact problem, with a similar configuration. None of the stutter fixes work. I think I have it narrowed down to a graphics driver problem, but tricking FO into thinking you are running a different card doesn't seem to help. Installing older versions of the radeon drivers do not help.

I have now tried with different drivers, different compatibility settings, different graphics settings, tried the dll files that "fools" fnv into thinking I use a different graphics card etc. and I can't get rid of the sliding movement and this is making the game unplayable to me. Googling the problem trying all the suggestions have done nothing to the issue and I'm starting to give up =/
