Moving A Mod In Tamriel, Deleting All You've Done

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 7:52 pm

I'm thinking about moving my mod due to a verified bug in a ore vein next to it (http://unofficialskyrimpatch.16bugs.com/projects/7078/bugs/220002).

While messing with that vein I have moved it around, deleted it, replaced it etc to try to make the vein work to no avail.

If I do decide to move the entrance to my mod how do I delete everything I've done and return the area to default?

It seems like it would be easy, but if you just delete what you've done and move the mod entrance the original pieces will still not be exactly where they should be.

Another problem, specifically with this area, is that in the CK the ore vein has been deleted and replaced, thereby creating a new ID for the vein.

What method would I use to totally restore all areas in the Tamriel World to original so when I release the mod only the area where my mod will be located will be changed?

Thanks in advance!

When u go to File > Data... and click on your mod, you can go down to Details and that lists all the mod adds/changes. If u hit delete u can mark parts of it as ignore, which then wont load them, and the next time u save they will be deleted.

IIRC that feature is currently bugged and doesn't always "ignore" what you say, and can mess up things sometimes. It caused a cell to copy the landscaping from a cell next to it once for me.
