Multiple Forms for Spawns

I'm fairly certain that this was accomplished in previous games; I'm wondering how the community feels is the best way to implement multiple forms for mod spawns?

Essentially, I'm kicking off learning how to use the CK by making some various recolors for wolves. I'd like the recolors to spawn randomly among different populations of wolves.

The obvious method to implement this would be to manually place different copies of the recolored wolves into the world -- however, I'm wondering if there is a more automated way that won't leave a large footprint on resources?

Levelled Lists are used for that.
