Has anybody figured out a way to kill a person in Skyrim without it counting as murder? I'm pretty sure we can't make self-harming items as in Oblivion. Also keep in mind I'm thinking specifically about the Molag Bol daedric quest and killing Grelod in Riften.

I was surprised that I didn't get a bounty at all for killing Grelod - her assistant walked into the room right as I fired my arrow.

Maybe no one in the orphanage reports you though because they're too busy celebrating Grelod's demise?

If you kill her before the kid asks you get a neat comment. The kill still counts.

I stealth killed the Orc Bard as part of the DB quests and no one seemed to care. Cut him off mid song in fact. I was hidden when I did it but no one reacted to the dead body. They must have REALLY hated him as Astrid claimed. Sometimes you can get away will murder in the public open places.

Don't get caught.

Simple. Use your Fus Ro Dah and knock the target off of a bridge. That's how I always complete my murders if they're not in towns. If they are in towns, I used to provoke people with frenzy spells and the guards would kill them for me. But now, I just use stealth kills and hide the body in a giant body of water or behind a bush.
