Mute spellshout

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 5:51 pm

Since theres many annoying, repetative, "essential" NPCs that i swear beth put there just to annoy us (cough KIDS cough) i think beth should give us a spell/shout that permanently mutes these NPCs. The peace that would come just in whiterun alone if we can silence their audio would be sweet...i might have to switch to PC just to mute them myself.

What do you think?

No.

Just add an option to turn off essential characters, I can play the game without killing people who are important.

Three options, important characters are always essential, important characters are essential to other enemies but you can kill them or they can be killed by anything. Easy to add in, suits everyone as they can choose, done.

Those options wouldn't suit the casuals.

Why not? They can just leave essential characters on for no hassle.

THe problem is that Beth completely forgot to make essential npcs unessential once their usefulness has expired. Stormcloak/Imperial camps are the biggest offenders. The amount of essential npcs is dizzying, plus half of them are useless and don't deserve it. People like Jarls, BRynjolf etc deserve it.

Barnaby Jones endorses this.

Hah I thought this topic would be about the spell from OB that stopped spell casters from casting spells. The effect was called mute.
