n52te Controller

I am a novice user of the n52te keypad. Is there anywhere that I can view the default key/command assignments on the n52te for Skyrim?

Not that I'm aware of. I use the Razer version of that controller (which isn't very different from the Belkin that you're using).

You'll have to assign keystrokes through the N52 Profiler manually. It isn't hard to do, and there's a few external forum posts to help new users understand the interface and how to program / customize your gaming peripheral to your liking.

Thanks. There are certain commands automatically assigned to keys on the controller when the game starts, and I was just wondering if there is a list or table anywhere showing each default key assignment. I think I know how to assign keys, but might just want to keep the defaults if I knew what they all were. Again, thanks for the quick reply.

I've never heard of the Profiler assigning the keystrokes for you (unless there's something that I've missed :brokencomputer: )

I've always assigned them manually so I know exactly what button does what when I press them. Makes things less frustrating that way.

Why would you assign it to default? N52TE strengths is its customizable ability and macros. Setup your keystrokes on the N52TE to match your W-A-S-D-F etc from your keyboard that is comfortable for YOU. Setup all your 1-8 hotkeys (weapon and spell swapping) to use your Thumb only. Also if you want to setup different keyboard and macros for multiple games, look at the bottom, select new, name your game and application to link to, in this case it would be your Skyrim.exe and the N52TE will switch profiles automatcally.

I been using N52TE for over 3 years now and at present have profiles for WOW, Skyrim, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Fallout 3, New Vegas, etc etc. Works great. A normal Keyboard does not take advantage of your Thumb whereas a N52TE you can setup up to 10+ hotkeys or macros from your Thumb alone.

Love it!! Any serious pc gamer should have a gamepad, whether it be the N52TE, Logiech G13, etc. Amazes me how pc gamers buy all these expensive components to run their game visually well but stick to a basic keyboard / mouse input setup, haha.

btw congrats on your purchase. Once you get the hang of things you will wonder why you put up with a Keyboard so long for gaming, haha
