We need better animations.

Ok, so I think this would make roleplaying and just playing TES in general much more realistic. Whenever you walk into an inn, home, etc. you see someone eating (usually bread). It looks totally messed up. I think we need and update to Skyrim and for future TES games so eating looks real. Also, people should drink. They should add an animation for that too. I just think with that would make it look less...well...stupid if they added this. And when you turn or activate chains and handles, your character should actually pull them. You shouldn't just hit the button and they magically move up.

Just my ideas, feel free to add to or share your own ideas!
Thanks,

A housecarl that actually picks up all those leeks, apples and crockery that magically fall on the floor when I leave my house.

It would fit in perfectly with:

Look at Lydia, press E...

"I want you to...."

(Next selection):

'Clean up that &#@$ing mess!'

'Fetch me my dragonbone armour'

'Actually cook something in that pot and store it in the chest with my potions'.

+1
So she can actually be useful for more than just fighting and so I dont basically give her a house to live in for free. Maybe have a thief or something sneak in and she's standing over his dead body saying "I promised to watch you and all you own, my thane" Me: Good work, Lydia".

The only animation I don't like is the dagger one. A trained and hardened assassin does not simply swing wildly at target while said target is sleeping, he slips a blade between the ribs, or carefully slits the throats, or embeds the dagger in his back.

OP, this would help immersion, but I'm used to the quirky animations so it doesn't bother me much. If you're on pc, I'm sure there's some kind of mod for this. If you're on console like me, well, you'll just have to get used to it. Ideas:

One day, I'd like for people to actually open doors and walk out and you can see outside like you normally would. When you step through, you trigger a loading screen like normal.

A trained swordsman doesnt do that either. Not really sure how they could implement that into the combat beyond finishers.

Not sure what you mean there, but to clarify:

Whenever you are sneaking up on someone, if you attack them undetected it should go into a minor animation where you stab them instead of slash, but only with daggers.
