Need Confirmation - Dual Flurry + SpellSword Class.

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 6:12 am

I've been hearing that the skills for Dual Wielding, I.E; Dual Flurry, and Dual Savagery(?) can take affect while having a Sword in your right hand/off hand and a Spell in your other hand. Is this true?

(Meaning that while wielding both weapon and spell your counted as dual wielding, thus your weapon swings are faster.)

This is the first Iv'e heard of it.

The easiest way to find out if it's true would be to test it out I suppose.

Edit: Did some searches and didn't find anything. Where did you hear about it?

I wouldn't think so. "Dual-wield" is pretty much always two physical weapons. If this has been changed lately, that would be interesting.

So does that mean it won't work for the Bound Sword spell?

I couldn't say. I never use those (the most magic I ever use is an off-hand destruction spell). If it counts as a single-hand weapon though (does it?) then it should be fine. I'd suggest you google to see what you can find from people who really KNOW though. I don't honestly "KNOW" - because I wouldn't ever play that way myself....

I'm pretty sure it would work. The Bound Spells all level up Conjuration and their associated weapon type so all the perks should apply, but I asked because I've never used Dual Flurry until this character and haven't used Conjuration spells.

On the USEP wiki. I think the combat section under spellsword.

Yes, I know they do work on the Bound Sword spells.

I'll test it out myself, I had just wondered if it was someone blowing smoke up my ass or if anyone had actually tested this. I'm fairly certain it said that Dual Flurry worked, but not so sure on Savagery.
