1. I'm doing the main quest and the big dragon guy wants me to go find an Elder Scroll in the Dwarf ruins. But I looked all around everywhere, including the cathedral, the Darkreach and ad infinitum and there's no such thing there, with my primary suspicion on the subject being that this is because I already got the only elder scroll in the process of already having done the Hermaeus Mora quest. But I can't continue the main quest without getting an Elder Scroll. Edit: Also, the directional pointer thing keeps pointing me to that stupid Orc librarian in the big college thing but he doesn't have any conversation options or any items for sale that even slightly vaguely have anything to do with anything whatsoever in any way, shape or form.

2. I'm also trying to do that quest in that one city where it's always snowing (slightly ambiguous, I know, but I can't remember the name) someone is killing young women and leaving mutilated corpses around. The quest log says talk to that guy in the palace and get his help. I tried that and nothing happened. I also tried to "investigate the crime scene", but I found absolutely infinitely less than nothing whatsoever. I also went to the city morgue and talked to the crazy old lady who handles the dead Vikings but I might have said the wrong thing to her and now every time I try clicking on her she only says her pre-recorded sort of stock line but there are no conversation options presented, meaning it won't activate the thing where you can actually talk to the character. It's starting to look like I'm seriously SOL on this quest, so can anyone help me? Also, my character rain down some alleyway with pilars or something and a dark elf woman was talking to this kid who's practicing dark rituals or something like that and I think the plot is that he's trying to summon the Dark Brotherhood, or maybe someone else is. The problem is I didn't quite get a good ear on what the thing about where he lived was or what the important houses on the subject were, and also it didn't record itself in my quest log. But I don't even know if that part even has anything to do with the quest about there being a serial klller on the loose (I don't mind if you spoil it for me).

1. If you don't have the Elder Scroll in your inventory you'll have to go to the Tower of Mzark from inside Blackreach. You may not have gotten the actual Elder Scroll - you may have only inscribed onto the Lexicon. If you back to the Tower of Mzark where that big Dwemer apparatus is the Elder Scroll will be in the middle of it.

If you've already transcribed the Lexicon and exited the Tower of Mzark via the elevator you can reenter the Tower of Mzark from Skyrim instead of having to go through Alftand > Blackreach.

2. There are so many bugs with Blood on the Ice in Windhelm that you just need to check Wikia or UESP. You may see some spoilers, but that quest is so bugged you're best off just risking seeing the spoilers and reading the walkthroughs/bugs.
