Need Help Curing Vampirism

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 7:17 am

Hey guys,

I have a chacter that I've been having some fun developing in skyrim for a while now. He's a 19th level Orc and has come down with a case of Vampirism.

Now as far as I know there are only two ways to cure yourself of vampriism in Skyrim. One is to talk to Valga in a bar called the Dead Man's Drink in Falkreath and begin a quest. However if I do this and try to talk to her I don't get the option to speak with her, I only have the option to pick pocket her. So this isnt' a solution to me for some reason.

The only other way to do this that I've read is to head to White Run and go to the fountian in the center of the town and talk to Heimskr and have him cast a spell that cures you. But I'm experincing the same thing here. So my question to you is what can I do to get rid of this case of Vampirism I seem to have picked up?

If it's not full-blown vampirism, you can pray at any shrine of The Nine, or you can drink a Cure Disease potion. If it is full-blown...no idea there.

Talk to an innkeeper.
Be sure not to be a stage 4 vampire.

I guess this should be in the "spoiler" section

Spoiler
Join the companions and become a werewolf. This will also cure vampirism. Or ask for rumors in a tavern. The guy you need is in Morthal. Or check the wiki... all the answers are in there LOL

If you only have the option to pickpocket her, then you're in the crouched / sneak position. Stand up and you will be given the option to speak to her. Or alternativel as the poster above says, if it isn't full blown Vampirism, go to any shrine and use the alter, it will cure all your deseases.

Are you sure you actually have vampirism? I mean the actual infliction and not the disease that comes before it. If it's just the disease, just praying at an altar or a potion will do.

How far along has your vampirism progressed? Have you started to sparkle? Are you after teenage girls?

Ask around the inns about rumors. Then you'll pointed toward Morthal to a Mage named Fallon. Once you speak with him you'll start the quest 'Rising at Dawn'(you'll need a black soul gem). He will cure you. If your already a stage 4 vampire you may find it hard for anyone to talk with you. The best way around this is go to the companions and feed, they will not attack you for doing it, or use a follower. Once your cured if you become one again you cannot be cure again unless you become a member of the inner circle of the companions.

You definitely will need to talk to the guy on Morthal. I HATED when I came down with vampirism. Had the dadgumbdest time being able to feed because people kept attacking me. You might want to try the college at night when everyone is sleeping to try to feed. Or, just get lucky and stumble upon some camper/traveler out in the wild who is sleeping.

You can also start the Companions quest and become a werewolf. There are not many drawbacks and it is cool to change and attack people. You cannot loot a dead body or activate your menu while in beast form. Alsdo beast blood makes you immune to ALL poison and future vamprism.
