Need help on deciding armor and weapons

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 10:16 am

I want my Orc to look cool but not evil so I'm thinking steel plate armor or maybe ebony, the orcish armor imo is ugly as hell, are there any cool combinations that make the char look really sweet rather than just one type of armor? Idc about the perk where u get extra armor for wearing the same type just want my guy to look cool, and I probably won't be using a helmet.

Then for weapons I really like my Orcish Axe and Sword setup but I feel that Orcish weapons are so crappy and weak so Idk what to do for them, maybe glass since they look pretty good to me.

Idc that he won't be his strongest btw, mainly to look cool and not completely evil

I like the Steel plate armor with Blades gauntlets, Ebony boots or Blades boots. ( really I just plain like the Blades armor, but it's not very Nordic )

You might want to try Ancient Nord armor mixed with Falmer armor

Looks like iron to me and for Falmer, idk it's cool looking but I think it's light armor, correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not doing main quests, any other way to get a set of blades armor?

I think the Orcish gauntlets and shields look pretty good. But if you don't dig 'em then you don't. As far as Orcish weapons (and armor for that matter) goes, there's a huge gap between their effectiveness and value vs. ebony. However, if you take the Orc Smithing perk, you can make Orc swords pretty devastating weapons. Of course Ebony will be better but you don't get that until your Smithing is at 90. The Orc perk comes at 50 (again with the huge gaps).

But yeah, Steel Plate is always a solid choice. IMO though, it doesn't match well with ebony in terms of looks. I haven't gotten around to making a pair of ebony boots for Mjoll yet so she's still wearing steel plate boots with ebony armor. It looks goofy. BUT, she's also wearing Orcish gauntlets, which look good with ebony.

Steel plate, Steel hands, Dwarven boots and Elven gauntlets. The Elven gauntlets can be replaceable with Dwarven gauntlets if the Elven ones don't fit your style.

My Orc shuns society, he is the character, out of 6 I have who although he has done the first part of the quest, I love Dragons, has little to do with any normal quests. He sought out his fellow Orcs and has advanced to the point he can craft Orcish armor and weapons. I do not plan any more on that tree.

He wears Orcish armor and uses Orcish weapons and he will just level that up.

A lot of fun really. Most of my others are much more powerful but somehow he is among the most satisfying.

Ebony is a good choice, both armor and weapons.
