ive beaten the game now for some excitement im already getting into mods, but idk how to dl one, heres one thats an examle http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34875 i put the files in my Program Files/steam/steamapps/common/Fallout New Vegas/data but when i go to check it off on data files its not there, can someone give me extended instructions?

Are you sure you unpacked the files? You didn't just put the zip/rar file into the data folder?

Yeah im sure, i extracted it using winrar and when that didn't work i tried saving them to temp. location, extracting them their, and then copy the files to data

Its becuase the mod author packaged it a little strangely. For that mod, you need to unpack it into:

Program Files/steam/steamapps/common/Fallout New Vegas

He includes a Data folder in his archive.
