Need Help ! : Idle pvssyr for Followers : Only playing when

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 10:02 am

I am currently trying to make my follower say some idle lines. First i tried to just add some lines in the DialogueFollower Quest. That worked fine, with the exception, that they would only say something if they are actually moving. When they are standing in front of me, they wont say anything --- until they move again.

Next i tried to do that again with the DialogueGeneric Quest. The same result. My companion simply refuses to speak when she is not moving.

At last i tried to do a custom Quest with high priority. Same result. She will say stuff, but only when she is moving.

So what is going on with this ???

Does anyone have any ideas ? :)

----
Conditions are as follows :
GetRandomChancePercent => 5
GetIsID 0Alandria == 1 (companion codename)
GetIsVoiceType FemaleYoungerEager == 1

The voice files have the random field ticked and the last one also the random end.

Her AIPackages allow her to both talk and do Idlepvssyr
---
Now i did discover, that the idle dialogue in DialogueGeneric also has this : IsMoving == 0
When i added this to the conditions list of my companion, she refused to speak entirely.

Well, Marcurio, who I've travelled with the most (well over 100 hours) of all of the followers because he pvssyrs the most, has always said something whether he's been moving or not (well, whether I've been moving or not and so I'm assuming he hasn't had to be moving). And this has continued since the CK has been released and I've modified the conditions on a few of his lines so he'll say them outside of dungeons (he would only say stuff in dungeons before).

Are you finding that she isn't doing her idle pvssyr when she is sandboxing (are you still doing the package that does the sandboxing + following thing) as opposed to just a pause in walking around? Maybe that's the issue. Idle pvssyr might be tied to following rather than waiting/sandboxing. Dunno though as I haven't started working with packages or dialogue or anything in earnest yet. Just throwing that out there as a possibility.

Ok, i am using a package for her that allows her to follow me and go to sandboxing mode when told to wait. I use the FollowPlayer Template as a base.
What i noticed is, that she doesn't talk to me when she is in following mode and not actually walking. Once she walks, she talks. When i tell her to wait or if i entirely dismiss her,
she will talk anywhere, even while sleeping for instance.

I will take a look at Marcurio′s dialogue to find out a bit more.

Ok, so i just tried to reduce the amount of conditions for the idle pvssyr, so that only the GetIsId entry is left. Now she will say something every 10 minutes (gametime) ... but also only if she is either waiting (sandboxing) or following (and moving). So basically, i can stand in front of her for hours, she wont say a word... but as soon as i walk a bit, she will start talking.

I really dont understand this anymore. Wild guess : Is it because of her high energy rating ? I gave her 75 so she changes her sandboxing behavior more often...
