Need help taking photos!

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 12:51 pm

Hey I need some help with mods or console commands for taking photos. I want to know a few things from people who might know.

1) How can I change what time of day it is?
2) How can I freeze time?
3) How can I change the weather?
4) How can I increase my carrying weight? (I need to carry a lot of items).
5) How can I increase my character's speed for moving around the map?
6) How can I fly?

Any other useful commands for taking photos are appreciated too!

Thanks in advance!

1) Use "set gamehour to xx" where xx is the time of day 0-24.
2) Activate free camera with "tfc 1". Additionally you can slow time by setting timescale with "set timescale to x" where x is a multiplier of real-world time; 20 is default game timescale, 1 is of course real-world time. I think extremely low figures will make the game bug out, so tread carefully. If you simply want the game to pause without going into free camera, open console and type "tm" to hide it. Typing "tm" again will make the console visible again.
3) Use Script Dragon's Weather Wizard or console command "fw xxxxx". IDs can be found http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Weather_IDs_%28Skyrim%29.
4) Use "player.modav carryweight xxxx" where xxxx is the desired carry weight.
5) Open all map locations with "tmm 1,1,1"; when on the set, adjust free camera speed with "sucsm xx". Normal camera speed is around 20, use 1 for precision aiming.
6) Again, use free camera: ""tfc 1".

Anything else... Well, use "tgm" for god mode and "disable" to get rid of any objects you don't want in your screenshot. Also, use "player.additem x 1" to get gear for your character. If you want to take combat shots, use a mod like Enhanced Blood Texture's optional No Screen Blood component to disable screen blood and disable radial blur with "sgrb 1 0 0 0 1".

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Incredibly helpful! Thank you!

Only one thing was, speed for moving around the map...I meant like my character's running speed so they can walk faster. Is there a way to edit this?

6: If you want the character to fly (not just camera) you can use noclip, i.e. type "tcl"
also,
player.modav speedmult X
where X is some number. Experiment!

No problem! Good thing that evilgiraffe remembered to mention noclip.

(I don't think there's a way to make your character run faster at least without a mod, but I'm not sure. Using god mode gives you unlimited stamina though, so you don't have to wait for it to replenish.)

Oh, there is! Nice find, evilgiraffe.

Oh, but be warned, too much speed can cause crashing when you enter interior cells (I've heard) presumably the cave type cells where there's no door?

(one of the first things i did, slightly increase movement and weapon swing speed... I guess I'm impatient!)
