I never solved it, i just pressed that switch that shoots the arrows? or something and that door opened.

There are symbols right behind the pillars Up high ( not in front that thing looks like a swirl behind that ).. you'll need a torch or if your a mage use your flame and stand by the pillar and look up wards it's right there..

Take the symbols from the first tablets above the floor (go up the stairs) and get last one from the floor in that order then use the lever.

That is a different dungeon. This dungeon has 4 pillars.

I cannot find the book nor can I find the place 'behind the pillars'. So call me stupid! I also read the official guide that cost me a packet but it gives a code sequence that does not work, great!
Maybe this is not a real important quest and I just give up on it. Drats!
