Need help with my TV

Post » Sat Dec 03, 2011 9:33 pm

I have a 32'' Visio LCD HDTV. I have looked over every inch of that thing and I cannot seem to find an audio jack. Therefore I cannot plug in external speakers or headphones, which really pisses me off, as I listen to music every time I use it to play my games. Any sound that comes out of the built in speakers is devoid of any bass (which is to say, it [censored]s up any music that comes out of it).
Is anyone else experiencing this problem, or am I just stupid?
I hope I'm just stupid...

EDIT: I have lost the manual and have looked online to see if I can find an answer to my problem but to no avail. I would not have posted this if I had access to the manual.
I'm not THAT stupid...

Not all televisions have audio output jacks. You may have to add your external speakers/headphones onto the device you are playing (i.e. DVD player, cable receiver, game console, etc).

How would I plug headphones into a console? I know I could just stick it in any random input thingy but I don't get how it would work. The Xbox isn't what makes the sound, after all.

EDIT: Jag1313 the page says audio audio inputs on the back but not head phones. The only speakers I can find use the same things headphones use to plug into a TV.

I believe that you can use the Microsoft XBox headset to listen to your XBox audio if you configure it.

According to the page, there does not appear to be a headphone jack.

It does say you should "enjoy rich bass" from the internal speakers. Maybe there is a setting in the menu?

Get something that converts stereo RCA to 3.5mm, that's what I use to directly connect my 360 to my speakers.

There may not be a 3.5 mm jack, but it does have "stereo audio" (my guess RCA) out. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?client=opera&rls=en&q=RCA+to+3.5mm&oe=utf-8&channel=suggest&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=15477164326678004239&sa=X&ei=7hYeTpPQGouisAPus6FV&ved=0CDMQ8gIwAg

The problem has finally been resolved by Turtle Beach Earforce X11 Headphones. Why they had to give it such a long name, I do not know.
Anywho, the headphones are great and completely worth the 60 dollars they cost.
The only downside about it is the packaging.

After about an hour I was on the verge of running over them with a lawnmower just to see if it opened the package.
But I prevailed still over that plastic nightmare.

You'll enjoy those. My own Beats By Dre don't have a mic built in, but are equally rad (mebbe even a little better :))
