Need to Reformat---Can I Reinstall FNV ?

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 3:28 am

I suddenly have corrupted Windows files. I think I need to reformat and reinstall XP.

Can I easily reinstall Fallout New Vegas ?

Anything I should watch out for or do?

Thanks.

This should maybe be posted in the PC help section...
There is nothing special you need to do other than if you want to backup your savegames. (Documents\my games\fallout New Vegas\saves)
Remember you also need to install Steam.

You can install the game on multiple PCs - multiple times. Each session is validated through Steamworks so you have to be online.

Of course. Steam makes it easy, after your computer is up and running, install Steam and log into your account, select New Vegas in Library and click Install, Steam does the rest. Or if you have the disc, it's just as easy as installing any other game.

Also you can preserve your save files, just copy My Documents/My Games/FalloutNV/Saves folder to a flash memory or something, and return it there after reinstall.
