Documents > Bethesda > Call of Cthulhu

I am in the bottom of the ship right after giving that guy the med-pack and right before the first (literal) wave. You need to go up to the deck and use the cannon to kill the 3 wizards then immediately save it. This is on private investigator difficulty. Once you have done that pls upload this file and respond here preferably on filefront or w/e site that is trustworthy. I wish Bethesda would just host saves or actually fix the bug but this is our best hope for a good fix (at least until the newest file disappears). I am asking someone from Youtube who did a walkthrough of this game to do this as well and if I get the save file I will try to post it on here. I don't think Bethesda even reads these forums or cares so if you CAN beat the wizards pls pls upload a save file.

I have the solution finally. This is the solution to the problem in an email formto a youtube guy who did the walkthrough. I was trying to get him to use my save, beat the part, and send me back the save which I would upload online but he failed to do anything, sent him this.

Hey I actually found some saves online, I swear I searched for over an hour and couldn't find anything and now I found it on my first try... sigh luck. Anyway there is a save for right after the boat scene so anyone on vista can get around. Its Call of Cthulhu10 in the list of files.

I suggest you make this a vid or annotation b/c a lot of people have this problem, I'd do it myself but I don't have a following for this game.

Basically go to the 2nd link, go to Cthulhu in the big list, DL that file, in those files its Call of Cthulhu10. I would drag your own save files out and rename "Call of Cthulhu10 " to "Call of Cthulhu", just take out the 10 on the end. The save that you want is the 50min save, there is a 2, 7, 12 min save as well, this will make sense when you see it. This is literally directly after the wizards are dead!!!

Hi, same problem here: I just don't want to install xp in my pc (it would be too messy), but I enjoy this came too much and I'd love to finish it, so can somebody please direct me to a link where I can find a save just past the wizard bug? I tried both of the links suggested, but the first one is before the bug and not after (not much use), and unfortunately the other seems not to be working anymore: at least, I could not find any saves for CoC on the guy's page.

Theres a ton of threads with this same problem for vista users - I found a link to a savegame as well that worked for me.
