Hey everyone,

Names Matt, and I am very new to Skyrim! First one I've ever played, and let me tell you, I absolutely LOVE IT! Couldn't be more impressed. It pulled me away from MW3, which I'm very thankful for. Lvl 48 Destruction Dark Elf, with fully crafted Draedic Armor.

The problem comes in with Enchanting. I wouldnt ask for help if I didnt already exhaust all my options in searching for answers online. I'm lvl 100 Enchanting, but I cant seem to figure out why Im only able to get a max of 15% reduced casting. I have all the proper perks including dbl enchants. Even with enchanting potions I'm only able to get 16% reduced casting. I cannot for the LIFE OF ME figure out what I'm missing here? I know you should be able to get 25% reduced BASE, and an extra 4% which will bring it to 29% reduced casting.

If someone could fill me in on what exactly I'm missing, I'd greatly appreciate it! I'm running around in Archmage Robes because I've yet to enchant my Draedic Armor. Got the full Legendary set just sitting lonely, waiting for worthy enchants [img]http://skyrimforums.org/threads/need-some-serious-enchanting-advice.4409/styles/default/xenforo/clear.png[/img]

Try using +enchant potions and fully perking.

Please use the stock font size for posting. Smaller or larger fonts should be used sparingly for emphasis, and that should be rarely done.

Sounds to me like you've only taken the first level of the first perk in the Enchanting tree (+20% to all enchantments) rather than all five levels of it (total +100% to all enchantments). 15% / 1.2 * 2 = 25% cost reduction (it actually ends up as 26% with Enchanting 100, all perks, and a grand soul due to rounding).

Yup... need 5/5 Enchanter, plus a Grand Soul.
