Need some help confirming something

Was surfing the web last night and wondered when Photoshop CS6 was coming out. Found an article that stated that when CS6 is released anything before CS5/4 won't be upgraded requiring people to purchase the software again. Need some help confirming this because if this is the case i'll need to upgrade. Have CS2 right now and it costs about $200 to upgrade but to buy the full version of CS6 would probably cost me around $700 to $800. Don't necessarily have the money to purchase the upgrade however I rather do it now than pay $600+$200 to buy a new version of the software.

Sadly it looks like it confirms what I thought I saw where they are only offering upgrades to CS5 owners. Anything below that people will have to completely re-purchase the software again and this maybe due to problems maintaining the code for older stuff.
