I need some helpsuggestions on mod installationchoosing

Hey I need to learn how to install mods correctly so I can obviously play the game in a more realistic environment.

So, can someone teach me how to install them?

So far I've tried to install some mods, and some work, but others don't.
I usually just replace the mods' files with the games files. For example, instead of overwriting the game's data file, I go through it and copy the mod's files over the game's files. Like I will overwrite the female texture mod instead of the entire texture file. I do this because I've noticed that multiple mods request to overwrite the game's data files, and if I were to do this, I would only have one mod at a time.

Am I doing it right?

Also, what are your top ten favorite mods?

Download Wrye Bash, read the documentation on it, enable BAIN, download archive to the folder it makes, install with BAIN, activate. Don't use NMM. Also, this belongs in Mods. Can we get a move?

Also, use BOSS

If you're serious - and have the rig to handle it - I can do no better than suggest you have a look at the 'Skyrim Total Enhancement Project' (S.T.E.P.) on the Nexus site.

I've been following it since early December, my game folder is now just over 11GB.

-I haven't got a stupidly extravagent rig, it's i7, WIN7 x64, 12GB Ram, ASUS 550 gti GPU.
