Need Some Musical Help.

Ok, the Pastor at my Church and I have been working on some songs to do for a youth bash BBQ we're throwing this Sunday. We have a piano and acoustic guitar arrangement for this one song, but we don't have a lead guitar part. I tried composing something myself but I'm horrible are writing music or coming up with stuff that sounds good.

The chord progression in the song is: A, E, F#m, A, D, A, E. With two counts for every note except the last which is four. http://soundcloud.com/aubreysapp/seek-ye-first-chorus a quick little demo of the main chord progression that I just recorded.

What I was doing earlier was pretty much this (hope you can read tabs)

e|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
G----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
D|---------------------------------------------------7~----9p7---------------------------------------------------------
A|---------------------5/7--7--7----7/9--9--9---------------9p7\5--5--5-------------5/7--7--7h9--7~---------------------
E|------5--5--5h7---------------------------------------------------------------5--5--5---------------------------------

~ Vibrato
/ \ Slide up or down
h Hammer on
p Pull off

Could any of you guys help me spice that up a bit? Or possibly help me make an entirely new lead part?
