Other bugs[
  • PC 360 PS3 There is a bug where after the player releases http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Kodlak's soul from http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Hircine, each time http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Jorrvaskr is entered. Farkas will start following the player, open the dialogue box, and unsheath his weapon. This disrupts talking to people, smithing, and combat.
    • PC 360 PS3 Solution: The player can enter a building (other than Jorrvaskr) and he will wait outside, or can kill him outside the city. Killing him without any witnesses, will trigger the courier to find the player and give him/her 300 http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Septim_(Coin) as directed by his will. Three coins are given to the http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Jarl as tax, so the player only gets 297.
    • PC Solution: Alternatively for the above mentioned bug, the console command 'kill' can be used on him which renders him resting on the ground to regenerate. This is confirmed, though the duration is unknown. While he is not a follower, he will be considered essential and not die.

I've heard of this happening with Farkas sometimes if you have an outstanding bounty in any of the holds...make sure and pay off all your bounties and see if that helps.

If you can reload a previous save to before he's doing that you can cure Kodlak again and save again. Then if Farkas does that again, just reload the most recent save and do a few other quests before going back to Jorvaskr. I've had him do that to me and I shook it loose without killing him.
