is it needed to use trainers for levelling?

I was wondering if its needed to use trainers in the early stage. ( cos they cost alot of gold). I did use alot of trainers ( gathering wood to sell for buying the trainings). I thought if I do it I wont loose 5 points every time you level up! But hehe my question is if you dont use the trainer are you still able to level to the maxime? ( sorry for my bad english im dutch). Hope someone knows the answer for me;-)

Thanks!

You have a fundamental flaw of understanding what trainers do.

Trainers just skip over the doing. They operate the same as regular skillups.

Yes, you can still level to the maximum without using trainers. Trainers just make you reach it faster, if you have the money for it...
IMO you are better of leveling normally, saves a lot of gold.

The only training I would recommend getting is armour training, because it saves you the tedium of having stuff chew on you, just for the sake of earning armour skillups. The rest is just as easy to learn on the job.

I would start using Trainers midgame around level 20 and definitely when you get into the 30's. If you have the gold it's 5 less skillpoints that you have to raise a skill, it's a shame the master trainers stop training you at 90 skill rank.
