Needing some help

Post » Sat Dec 03, 2011 1:51 am

I've been having issues connecting with a friend of mine for as long as I can remember, and quite frankly, I'm tired of it. Both of our NATs are open, yet we still have issues connecting. The problem has to be with one of our routers, as it's just me that he can't connect to. Which got me thinking...

My router uses WPA rather than WEP, if his is using WEP, could that be causing the issue? Or could there be something more obvious?

Thanks.

Edit: Just found out he has DSL while I have fiber-optic. Could that have an effect?

I honestly have no clue what you are talking about. But have you tried turning your modem off and on again?
