Rage is a reference to Fallout, not vice versa. :)

I just went to the vault and researched this new trait and all it says is it provides "wackier version" of things? I don't understand what the point of this is or how it would be beneficial?

Haha that would be cool. But I've only played fallout 3 and the wiki says that traits were not in that game and are making a return in new vegas. Can someone please explain this trait system please. So now we get perks AND traits? How many traits to you choose and how do they work? Is the trait something you activate once a day or something?

Edit: are they like some of the birthsign powers you can cast once a day in the elder scrolls iv?

Traits are picked at character creation and usually have both positive effects and negative effects and are 'permanently' active. If the New Vegas Traits are similar to the ones in Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics you will be able to pick up to a maximum of two Traits, a minimum of zero.

Thanks for the quick and helpful reply appreciate it! If some are positive then why would you not choose one and if some are negative why would you choose that? Why not choose to helpful traits?

All of them are balanced to do something good and something bad at the same time.

Yep; yet another of the curiously ironic similarities & suitability of the TES version of Gamebryo (as it could be used in a Fallout game).

* I originally bought TES4 when it came out, because I had heard that this (at the time unknown, to me) company had acquired Fallout. So I wanted to see what they were capable of with an native IP.
I was very impressed with character creation and the tutorial, and immediately spotted the similarity of Traits & Birth-signs. (the coin was neat too :celebration: )

Not sure if this was said already elsewhere, but:

"This game svcks! It doesn't play anything like Fallout or Fallout 2. This is just Oblivion with guns. Where's the Turn-Based play? Where is the indepth dialogue. The dialogue in this game is simply childish. It's nop better than KOTOR, and that game was nothing but a shooter with lame voice acting."

Oh wait...this has already been said...

1. This isn't anything like FO1: (insert just about anything here)
2. It's not realistic: Esplodin Cacti? No such thing! Must be SCIENCE!
3. NO WAY would they use that shade of paint on a building, and hey, 57 of the 64 light bulbs strung over the street are EXACTLY THE SAME! Where is Beth's QC? BIS would have never done that!?!

And my favorite: HOW DARE they insult US by putting the word FALLOUT in the name of this ICONIC franchise!

The best reply?

Enjoy the game.
