Netbook for school...

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 7:56 am

I wanted to pick up a cheap little netbook that I could take with me to school for lectures, write reports with Word, and email. I won't use it for anything outside of those three things.

I'm not very versed on what's good and what's bad, but I saw this - read up a little on it - and it seems to be a solid netbook for what I need. Do any of you guys have an opinion?

If all you are going to be using it for is note taking, really anything will do. The top thing is the keyboard and how it fits in your hands. I would go to a Best Buy or other electronics store around you, test out all the netbooks until you find one with a keyboard you like, and then go online and find it cheaper.

I use a netbook for school and I love it. I highly recommend picking up OneNote, and then using it in conjunction with Dropbox (Create notebooks within your onenote folder). It has made school so much easier for me, it is very easy to stay organized.

More than you need for what you have planned but it's definitely a solid netbook. Unless you want to do a bit of gaming on the side I'd recommend finding something cheaper. It doesn't take much to do word processing.
