I've never been a Khajiit before

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 9:09 am

Hey

I made my very first Khajit character two weeks ago and I'am loving him. The only problem I have is (some people have already said) that the Nords dont like to Khajits and thats because they are not allowed in the cities. But me, I can own houses and becomes Thane of a Hold... how can that be? For true immersion from Bethesda I would have liked to have seen randoms guards commenting on the fact that I'am a thane and can own a house and would have been great to hear the Caravan Khajits moaning that I can get in and they cant or something like that.

I can never understand why they can never do this for? Bethesda are great RP developers and they cant add in something as tiny as this?

I tell you something if I had Todds job, this would be something that would never have been overlooked. Pretty bad imo.

The very first TES character I created was a Khajiit on my friends xbox on Morrowind. Nowadays I'm usually Imperial or a Dark Elf.
Same for me but it didn't last long... I'm glad the beast races somehow learnt to wear boots and full face helms in the 6 years (i think) between morrowind and oblivion. I also preferred dark elves in other TES games but they look silly in skyrim so back to creating khajiit characters that wouldn't look out of place in thundercats.

Dunmer look better in Skyrim then they did OB .... but MW had the best Dunmer voices by far

For some reason I have never created a khajiit. I guess something about them just bothers me. Probably the tail clipping through all clothes, armor, and chairs.

I almost played a Khajiit but chose not to in the end.. my favorite race are Argonians as you can tell. I do have respect for some of the other races, just not much for the Dumner.. although I don't hate them all. Only reason I considered a Khajiit was because they're the other beast race, but they don't have what an Argonian does so I couldn't do it.

I have a khajiit character and it is by far my favourite. He's a thief who specialises in pickpocket, lock picking, speech and archery. I love the comments you get from other characters too the best being "you'll make a fine rug cat" needless to say no one has managed to make me a rug just yet (:

I know what you mean. I've tried playing other races, but I just can't do it. \

Not playing an Argonian just feels weird, and I lose interest in the character right away.

Fun thing you may not know about Khajiit.

All of the beastial races of skyrim get an extra 10 damage by default. With the 15 claws damage Khajiit do, thats 25 damage without any enchantments or perks.

The only strange thing about being a Khajiit is that you're the only one who are allowed to enter the cities, for some reason.

If I were to play a Khajiit I would have to play without entering the cities, because otherwise my immurzion would be ruined.
I actually seen a khajit wondering about solitude in ebony plate. I tried speaking to him but he had no unique dialog.

This thread makes me want to start a playthru as a Khajiit for the first time. I may have to do this now!

Started playing a khajiit recently. And it's one awesome race! However, I am playing with a few RP rules:

1. No entering cities. The only exceptions being the non-walled cities such as Dawnstar, Falkreath, Morthal and Winterhold. Also, unless your khajiit plans to be a thief and join the guild, Riften is also off limits. Yes, this means you can't do the main quest line.

2. Use only ranger/nature races for companions (Bosmer, khajiit or orcs from the strongholds)

3. Use claws as main weapons. They are your most natural weapon, so use them!

4. Live off the land. Hunt animals and meat only. No eating vegetables/plants! You are a carnivore!

5. Wear light armor only. Cats have to be quick on their feet.

6. Disdain magic. Use only when absolutely necessary (favored schools being illusion or restoration (deception and healing).

7. Despise any undead, vampires or necromancers! They are unnatural and go against the call of the wild.

So far, I have progressed to level 20 and my game as been an absolute blast. By ignoring the main quest and living like a true Khajiit in Skyrim would, it's like an entirely different game experience.

Um no. First they turned on their good friends the dunmer for no reason at all.

Good friends? The dunmers enslave the argonians, what good friends?

And regarding the topic, good for you, I've been trying to do a khajiit for a while but I just can't my assassin/ranger character ends up bosmer.
