New age of FPS

I cant help but admire the gameplay mechanics of this game. When you look at what you can do in this game it must take some skill to make when compared to other shooters. What other shooters let you move about the map so good and find sneaky routes.
I hope other games such as CoD take a few tips from BRINK. I don't mean the free running aspect so much but the ability to help ur team out and climb up to vantage points as you would if you could in a fight. The classes could be a nice feature for other shooters to make it more interesting. I'd also like to see the weapon customisation used in other games. I think a lot more has gone into a game like this than CoD if you look at what you can do in it. I hope other shooters take some of these features for there future releases.

Since the lag has been sorted out I can say I've probaly had more fun on this than call of duty.

What do you guys think?

I think you're ignorantly giving too much props to Brink. [[ Ignorant means not knowing any better; lacking of knowledge of an area. Like politics or something before I get banned again for that word. ]]

Killzone has classes, Battlefield has had classes for many years now. Team Fortress two has more classes then this as well.
I don't think you've ever played CoD either, people take vantage points all the time. But in CoD Players play more for kills then to help out their team, however if you're with a few friends or a good team then you'd see people covering each other.

As for moving around maps, again i'd have to say CoD gives you more options and viable ways to get around a map. There are more routes and side routes in your average CoD map then Brink. While the movement system is more limited, the maps are far more open for ingenious ways to get around. [[ Besides Black Ops which seemed to want to give more of a funnel points kinda thing which doesn't work for quick kill times. ]] In battlefield there's APC's and vehicles to get you around the map, besides the nice old fashioned running through alleys that can stealthily get you around. Plus you can help out your team mates more then in Brink. [[Their system is better. You can give heads up to other plays that you need health or ammo, even spot enemy players and doesn't need a specific class skill. ]]

The weapon customization is alright, but could be better. Variations in colors and different stocks and barrels to change your gun even further, sort of like Army of Two.

I think a lot more has gone into all the Call of Duty's and Battlefields and Killzones due to how much more content they offer then this game. Which is good, but severely lacking.

I really like BRINK. Out of all the FPSes out there today, its probably the most enjoyable despite the problems it does have. Its also the begging steps to a new generation of FPSes. If you've been playing straight CoD and this is your first team based FPS then by all means it should be like a light shinning in the darkness. When I started playing Killzone I freaked out. It kinda allowed me to actually use teamwork. (I play with a very close friend and we enjoy tackling games together). BRINK really does shine in that aspect it's the first FPS that really gives you that teamwork feel.

Don't bash on CoD too much (I'm not a huge fan) but different strokes for different folks. CoD is about YOU and getting KILLS. BRINK is about your TEAM and completing OBJECTIVES. Some people prefer CoD some need something else.

Glad you enjoy the game. The more the merrier and The Ark is looking quite lonely these days.

thanks for the feedback but I still think BRINK is better for getting around the maps if you know where to look. I know battlefield has classes and team fortress but im taking the aspects of this game that they havnt got. This game can be better but it could be the start of something new for other FPS. I mainly point to CoD because I feel that they realease a knew game with just some new weapons and maps, it would be nice if the added some new features for the MP. I rekon it would be better if they inspired you to use teamwork more on team games.

I cant talk about Killzone though I never played it isnt that the one on PS3?
