New to Brink

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 5:37 pm

Hi everyone,

I just purchased a ps3 and I'm thinking about getting brink as an online game. I'm wondering if there is a lot of players still online in Australia playing this game before I buy it. I've purchased games in the past that when I've gone online there has been very few players. Is getting brink worth it? Is there a ps3 demo anywhere? I couldn't find one on PSN. Any feedback would be great or a link to some Australia game stats of player amounts and activity would be awesome.

I personally love Brink to death and it should be really cheap in most places. Honestly Brink is one of the best games I've ever played, but the fan base as dwindled and with games like BF3 and MW3 out there's not alot of them playing Brink. But luckily the single player is basically the multiplayer so you can play that if no one is online, and also games with few people in it can be fun cuz the rest of the people are bots making it a full game in certain aspects. Overall for 10 bucks it is defiantly worth the buy and is the best T rated shooter you'll ever see lol.
I'm too lazy for stats nor do I live in Australia, so sorry lol

Thanks for the reply, I'm not very interested in BF3 or COD as I like video games that are imaginative and not just army recruitment fodder. I'll check out Brink as it looks cool and I like the design. Thanks again

Tonaka, the KEQ leader of Brink is from New Zealand, add Super-Pangolin and maybe he can set you up with more local people.

agree with ya here, i use games to step out of reality and play in what-if land, brinks real fun, gotten even better since clan support was released, probably one of 2 games that i think i've pulled more than $60 of gameplay from

The game is kinda multiplayer only. Don't expect any SP content besides playing multiplayer like missions with bots and some cutscenes. The multiplayer is not always crowded like a COD or BF game, but you can find some ppl to play with or add some guys from here to join up with (there are some PSN name sharing topic in another section). You can probably find the game very cheap also so it's a small risk anyway :)

Hi mate,

Everyone has their own opinion and i'm not gonna knock the Brink lovers but i personally think it is a terrible game.

I finally got my last trophy for it and is now going in the bin. I will never play this game again, nor recommend it to anyone.

My advice would be try and get it as cheap as possible to avoid wasting your money.

Thanks and goodbye.
