New DLC idea, time machine to Oblivion!

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 4:25 am

I'd like to see a DLC whereby you can get somekind of magical artifact that will transport you 200 years into the past.

There you will meet and team up with a new follower!

Your character from Oblivion.

You can bring them back, armed with Umbra most likely and go on a quick dungeon quest type thing!

Just an idea.

Maybe I should go work for Beth with ideas like this!

Here's an even better idea. Just play Oblivion.

Uhhh sarcasm. Not funny at all.
Op: it's a thought but if you never played oblivion it's would be pointless.

No sarcasm intended, just giving the guy a suggestion if he wants to go back to Cyrodiil and play with the same character he had in Oblivion, then he should just play Oblivion. Simple.

It;s not that we havem't all thought about it (admit it, everyone does), it's that we know whay a [censored]storm it would kick-up on the forums :P

Also, there would be no way for them to know how your character looks, what he did, etc. Also, why would the CoC start dungeon-delving with a random stranger who popped out of thin air?

There are just too many variables to make it pleasing for the majority.

No! I have a save game on my 360 that could be imported just like Mass Effect.

Infact! I want to upgrade my idea to import my Character 200 years through time and DO Skyrim with her!

In seriousness you could just RP it. I started a thread a few days ago about lifespan and it's possible that a character from the time of the Oblivion crisis could have survived up to the events of Skyrim through the use of magic and potions. So my Bosmer is the same character I used in Oblivion, he just looks older and greyer.

I think it's a pretty cool idea. Maybe the TR team with pick it up... Though I'd personally like to see Morrowind imported first.
I actually suggested something similar here for multiplayer:

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1320106-official-tes-multiplayerco-op-thread/

Basically, to incorporate something like Chrono Trigger.
Lots of quest work and landscape editing… It would be like making two full ES games practically getting both Morrowind and Oblivion imported.

Would be pretty awesome though. Plus if they do multiplayer, you can team up with a few friends and scale up the difficulty. Also the idea of multiplayer instanced areas with larger bosses and tougher strategies, and rewards or achievements that unlock NPC dialogue, quests, or subtly effect things in the single player world.

Would be the greatest thing ever!

This thread is turning into a fight. We need a mod to lock it.

But op: it would be an idea if you did missions in cyrodil but not to go meet your character,

Cheers
