New dlc to increase cap level

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 4:37 pm

Apologizes if a thread on this was already made.

Anyway on the Fallout wiki. They have news on the dlc "Dead money." It will increase the cap level to 35. Which is awesome cuz all my skills are low.

Yeah, I've heard that too. I heard that there were statements of where the entrance to the DLC was going to start out (one of which, a location to the north called "North Passage").

Level Cap increase is debatable but the DLC sounds like it MIGHT be good.

Why Not?

(Don't say X-Box exclusivity. Its only time limited, PS3 is going to get it eventually)

I seriously hope this comes with a new Veronica quest... Given who's apparently involved.

This is ridiculous! Why are they raising the level cap!? Now my perfectly balanced character will be unbalanced!

A thought.
Save before installing DLC.
Play DLC, make a new save file.
When done, reload old file.
WOW.

Thats crazy. Every part of the game is played with my char with no going back. And plus, the level cap is raised even without doing the DLC.

Concerns about overall gameplay balance are valid even with the optionability of the DLC (and more so when looking how easy this game is even on harder difficulties by default already). I doubt many will leave it unbought just because of the cap increase as it's not the main sellingpoint of the DLC - but are still dismayed about balance issues it creates, or confuzzled by the uselessness of it.

I won't be getting it due to Xbox exclusivity. I couldn't give a [censored] when it finally comes out for PS3s. I refuse to wait anymore with a held breath for gamesas to give PS3 players some equality in this, and now the Microsoft disease has spread to PCs, as well. I waited 8 months for Fallout 3's DLC and it came in an unpolished, clearly rushed, buggy form without a single patch or acknowledgement of the problems over a year later. They're not getting my money for this DLC, and I apologize to Obsidian as I know it isn't their call, but I've lost interest.

It's not on the first page at the moment, but there's already a DLC thread. *locks* :P
