new feature idea

ok, don't spaz out on me, and say "you should have put this in (adress) because that will eliminate extra pages, and make it easier to find" because i'm not gonna search for hours when i can't find an actual skyrim/bethesda thread. so deal with it.

so here it is, something i'm surprized that was never put in the game.i know that people like to play the same way most of the time (by that i mean, only use melee, archery, or magic, and rarely use multiple types of attacking.) but there are people who could use this. CREATE A CLASS option. i'm not sure about all of you, but i find it annoying that when i go from mage, to archer, i have to replace all armor, with archery enchanted armor, then when i go back to melee, or mage, i have to switch back. i think we should have the option of having multiple classes.

so here'es what will happen with it, hopefully if it goes through. create as many classes as you want. 1 item, can go into multiple classes. (if you are like me, you loot alot, and keep, most of it on you, so you need lift enchantments to hold more weight) i would make several classes with those on them.when you go to sell, drop, or store an item in a class, an option pops up asking if you are sure. if you want to, you can store whole outfits into a "side container" (still goes into regular storage, but it will be in a box that you can open up, or take the whole thing and set it as a class again automatically.) you can also withdraw, buy, pick up items with a certain button, and automatically put it into a class.

i think that covers most of it, any improvements are welcome.hopefully see this put into the game in one of the next updates.

so you want 1 character to be an expert at everything?
and easily swap between classes?

a bit like an electrician going from that to a plumber to a firefighter to an accountant to a school teacher to a polititian and back to an electrician again?

hmm seems realistic to me.

so you're mocking me because i like to have a variety when i play my games? you're just jealous that you can't play while using every skill in the game. it's probably too much for you to comprehend. i apologize.

by the way, i garuntee this will help you, and anybody who plays this game. no matter what you play as, there's always going to be locked doors, chests, you will have too much weight, etc. etc. having set classes will allow you to switch to what your preference is at the moment.

p.s. you're also jealous that you can't think of a huge improvement to the game like this. just a little 15 year old scrub hater that loves me.

p.s.s. it's a video game! who cares how i play, and if i switch between skills all the time? what does it matter to you? it's the way i play. and also, that anology is [censored]. as i said, it's a video game. why bring real life into this?

Create a class? Pfft, what do you think this is, Call of Duty? Skyrims system is just fine.

The irony is, this wouldn't add variety, it would take away all character variety, as every person becomes an "Everything". Sort of like how all the other Elder Scrolls games were.

15 year old
You should respect your elders.

Also your class idea is silly. Just create another character it's quite easy.

If I am getting what your saying, you basically want to be able to go from a buff two-handed warrior to a notorious assassin?
If so, then that doesn't seem realistic and/or right.
Yes, it gets a little annoying having to switch armours every time you want to switch "classes."
Most of your opinions (IMO) are like MMO game's, not a skyrim-like theme.
Finally, I don't like the "store items in another class" idea... you can't just say "switch classes" and somehow drop your items into a second store room without it not making sense... all these ideas (for me) would ruin the immersion.

No it would not help me. I don't think it should be implemented. Why? It takes all the fun out of creating new characters, it is highly unrealistic even for a fantasy RPG/action game like Skyrim, and it would be unbalanced. its not going to be implemented. Your asking Bethesda to revamp their no class system. It would completely destroy the reason they have perks. Nice thought, but I say nay.

The OP got really quick on the defense there. I like reading about peoples ideas and more so thier complaints on the game (let's face it, without whiners there would be no improvements) but sometimes you come across something that just doesn't fit into Skyrim.

I played a game once like the one you described via the "Be what you're wearing" sort of armor gig, and it was called Final Fantasy X-2, and let me tell you I nearly shot myself playing it. I appreciate your ideas but wishing and hoping for such a thing in a patch is a tad too far don't you think?

You're best bet is to buy a PC, get the unlock every perk Mod, and enjoy! Or if you're on Xbox you can turn it on, make sure the TV is on, and sit down forever, cause chances are this will NEVER be part of an ES game, sorry

I'm level 70, and I'm pretty much good at everything so I don't think class creation is valid.

I am not seeing how it would work as your perks cannot be changed.

This o.o

This Idea would completely ruin my characters :|
you sir have obviously not met the value of restrictions, being the Master of everything would make creating a new character almost useless.
Let's try to get away from the idea of making your character "Mr. Perfect", it's enough that you can't create your class like in the beginning in Oblivion and can easily be a Jack-of-All-Trades.

It's called the [Create New Game] feature. It requires a lot of clicking I know but I believe in you.

Skyrims system is just fine.
that's where you're wrong, its not fine at best it is mediocre. the perk system with only three "attributes" is terrible. Even with skyrims terrible perking system i feel like oblivion has more of a focus on leveling the skill up. I would like to level a skill up and become better at it without having the perks limitating my power.

I do think that Oblivion's leveling system overall was superior to Skyrim's tenfold, only thing I would've added to it is more abilities or "perks", like on every 10 skill increases instead of 25. I miss Oblivion  too bad it holds no more secrets.....

also, i'm not saying have it so you only have specific types of armour/enchantments per class. i mean this as in, if i want to shoot an arrow, while staying stealthy at the bandit chief, i can do that, than switch to my magic, or melee class. same as if you want to lock pick, or pickpocket, then switch back to your armour with the right enchantments for your fighting style. and those who are freaking out at me for this idea, because i should make a new game instead of a new class? get a life. i don't play this game enough to get 600 hours into 10 different games. i would rather have one game where i'm still good at everything, and still have fun. i like my variety when i play games. you people take video games way too seriously.

Um, what? While I appreciate people trying to help improve the game, I don't think this would fit into a TES game. I also don't think it was necessary to go off on one like you did.
