On the PC you can simply start a new game, making the same appearance and then use the in-game console to set the same level/skills as before.

On consoles, not so much.

Actually it's pretty easy to do this if you've learned to SAVE as soon as you can when you start a new game. It's become a habit, at least with TES titles.

On the PC save 001 is the automatic save made after you create your character. I don't know about consoles.

Since the game never actualy ends the + will never be in the game.
