I hated the strength requirements for weapons in fo1-2.

I always thought some weapons should have agility reqs others perc reqs and others intel and yes some strength and even endurance. I always thought nades and bombs should have luck reqs;/

In fo1-2 exactly how many chars did you make with 2 strength? Or even 4 strength?

Quite a few, actually. Anyway the strength requirement to use larger weapons effectively will probably be more on the lines of 7 or 8 so that you'll either have to bring up your strength a bit and sacrifice your performance in other areas, or use power armor.

On another note its funny how when Betheseda does something like this its "dumbing down of mechanics" from NMA.

But when Obsidian does it the people from NMA cheer

It's because we had this arguement back in 2003 when J.E. Sawyer wanted to merge all the weapons skills into just Firearms for Fallout: Van Buren. It's also because he's bringing back Strength requirements, something Fallout 3 lacked.

bah.. they should have just divided the gun skill up even more, pistols, rifles, ---etc. So you really felt like you were building a unique character. But oh well. In reality shooting is shooting I guess. You pull a trigger and the gun goes bang. All you really have to do is learn to aim with it.

I hope they don't make it like DC, where only a small portion of a vast city is explorable. I know Vegas wasn't hit like DC, but they could make it smaller than it should be.

Nothing specific, but IIRC Sawyer said at some point (in some other forum I can't recall) that in his current playthrough he was at level 23 with all three tagged skills at 100 and one skill close to 90, and that he was nowhere near maxing out. But the system might've gone through some tweaking since then.

He said it on SomethingAwful and quite recently. At this point I wouldn't expect them to do anything more than bugfixing so that's probably the final formula.

I think the Snowglobes are just for collector's sake, the implants sound like they'll be the way to increase SPECIAL this time around. (I heard there is a limit of three cybernetic implants if I'm not mistaken) :tops:

oh okay. that would make more sense, because initially i read the snowglobes were equivalent to the bobbleheads, than the implants were like the bobbleheads except more realistically feasible. thank you sir
