New NPC appearances not savingdislpaying?

Okay, newbie to these forums and modding in general. I created two custom followers, spent a ton of time tweaking their appearance in the CK, and when I go to meet them, they're plain janes. Does anyone know if this is a known issue, or how to go about fixing this?

Are you dragging clothes/armour into their inventory? If so, delete it out and where it says default outfit, select the armour or clothes you wish them to wear from the drop down list.

ty, but it's not their clothing, it's their faces. Particularly, my khajit and argonian are missing their facial patterns. :(

Hmm strange, the only problem i've experienced with faces is that they are a different colour from the body. Even though in the CK they match just fine.

Bugs/Issues

There is currently an issue where created actors do not export their facial data (scars, make-up, tones etc) onto the rendered NPCs in game. This can be temporarily rectified by opening the console and selecting the actor in-game, and typing "setnpcweight x" for the selected NPC. However, this only sets the skin tones to a normalized state, with no facial traits.

I REALLY hope this is something Bethesda is planning to fix with a patch, and not one of those editor bugs that they let hang around for years like the LOD generator.
