The scripting issues have been largely fixed. If you start over, or from a save prior to the issue, then that scripting bug will NOT happen again. But if you play on a save that already has that bug then there is no level of patching or fixing that will fix it. THE BAD SCRIPTING HAS ALREADY ACTIVATED AND YOUR GAMING EXPERIENCE WILL CONTINUE TO BE EFFECTED. I'm really not understanding what is so gorram hard to understand about this.
Once again, if you start over these issues will not come up again. THEY ARE FIXED FOR FUTURE RUNS.
Plain and Simple.
If you expect something different, then you will be holding your breath for a very long time. For there is no amount of patching that will solve a scripting error that's already been hit and saved over. I'm not saying that it is right or fair. It is the way it is. This is how programming and script writing and patching works.
And @ evilwondertwin : The incredibly complex coding that goes into games such as this, that allow choice and consequence (from moving an object to killing an NPC and the effect that it has on future quests and dialogue) is heavily effected on how the player interacts with the game world. No, it is not the player's fault that the script bugged out. It is the Developer's and the Publisher's fault. But it is the way it is. Start over and the scripting issues will not come up for they HAVE been FIXED. Or you can continue to attempt your currently bugged play thru and continue to [censored], whine, and moan about problems.
You have been given advice on what the smoothest course of action is for dealing with your situation.
You STILL don't get it, I know how this game works, I make mods for the PC version, and I have messed with the 360 SDK, there is NO issue that should not be fixable via a patch, NOTHING, you're defending Bethesda / Obsidian as if you're on their payroll, it's stupid, you can keep going on about the best way to make the game smooth, but that's NOT the point, we should not have to find work arounds for any of these issues, if you're happy with having to use work arounds to make a game on a proprietary system work, fine, that's your prerogative, don't bash other people for it when they have a right to be pissed off, they paid money for something that continues to be broken.
Here's some advice for you, if you don't like reading about people complaining, DON'T click on the thread, that's what this forum is for, Bugs and issues....
