New play.

Ok, so my first play I was a nice guy, middle of the road build and it was fun. But now I want a specialist. I ended up sniping and its fun, but I want a more close up build, maybe a melee/shotgun build or something.

Just something that doesn't involve sniping with the A.m.r (as awesome as it is) and more of something else. The mini gun is (surprise) worth using in N.V.

I have three builds going right now, but I am not really feeling any of them
Spoiler

One build is

S 9
P-2
E-9
C-6
I-3
A-2
L-9

Wild wasteland
Heavy Handed

Melee weapons.

Not so fun, I thought the stupid dialog would be more common but its not.

I also have this
Spoiler

S 4
P-8
E-2
C-6
I-8
A-2
L-9

More of a smart guy build.

Then I have this, and its what I am most fond of, but its just more of the same as I had the first time, just more purpose built.

Spoiler

S-6
P-2
E-3
C-2
I-9
A-9
L-9

Built to destroy
steady aim? (20% slower firing 20% more accurate)

I can't decide to scrap them, or not. I want to try something new. My first guy never used any melee weapons, was always nice and never wore anything more than combat armor.

I was thinking, something different would be, Biger guns/energy weapons +P.A OR melee weapons, different build from above.

Suggestions?

By level 23-25 on my first guy I ended up very well off, 50K+ caps. Lots of stored loot and really god at many things, I had three or four skills over 70 and many above 50.

P.S
Is there a way to delete save game files outside the game? I would like to make a copy pasta of the save files, move them then delete the ones in the game directory.
That way I always have my first guys safely tucked away on my primary and secondary HDDs, but I don't have to mess with looking through old saves all the time.

Well my current character (after 4 re-rolls) is a nice guy, cowboy, great with cowboy guns and uses melee frequently. Highish speech plus comprehension perk and magazines gives him access to a ton of dialogue.

I'm going opposite end of the spectrum next time, with a very high strength, high endurance character, and using melee definitely, plus either explosives or energy weapons with no speech or barter. Basically thinking of him as a bat-censored crazy guy who likes to soften people up with explosives and then charge in with his fists or a knife/axe/whatever and clean house.

Using melee as a backup with my current character has engendered a strong love of swinging a weapon at people, knocking guns out their hands, and then crushing limbs in a dazed bloodlust.... ;)
