I just made a conjuration mage who will focus on using followers and will be in a support role for her followers and summons. They will do all the fighting and she will focus on healing them, alchemy, smithing, and enchanting as well as pickpocket and lockpicking and speech.

Many people don't know this but some of the followers are pretty adept at using potions you give them such as Mjoll. She will pop potions all the time if they are in her inventory. I will only cast conjuration summons in battle and not use weapons or destruction spells. I will only heal my followers if they need it.

A permanent level one character.

Don't assign points to magicka, health, or stamina.

That also means you can't assign points to skills and perks.

Your character will stay at level one (unless, at a later point, you assign points).

I almost finished the entire game that way. Your skills will level up as you're playing, but even so, they are far weaker than if you use perks. For example, my sneak assassin is maxed in sneaking at 100, but everyone can see her from quite a distance.

BTW, your gear comes from dropped loot, chest, enemies you kill, etc., because you can't level smithing, enchanting, either.

Good luck.

PS: With your mana at 100 forever, a mage probably isn't a good character to make.

I flirted with this on my current character. It was interesting enough that I may build one with this in mind. I think I finally leveled up and jumped to 12.

Remaining level one probably provided the most even playingfield. I can't put my finger on it......but the game is just more raw. Certainly a very entertaining style.
