knockdown sniper: low damage, but induces knockdown, think like a really bad grenade launcher. would take a lot of balancing i understand that
explosive sniper: basically the same thing, and then you could just combine the 2, this is just area of effect. more easily accurate grenade launcher
stun sniper: self explanatory NO OR EXTREMELY (LESS THAN PISTOL) LOW DAMAGE. again intense balancing.
injure sniper: again, building off of stun sniper, damage over time and/or SMART incapacitation removed altogether or knocked down a tier (heavy > none, medium > heavy) also i used the term SMART so that it can possibly also mean other elements of character size like movement speed
injure sniper cont: basically this idea i saw today called a debuff, optional damage and varieties of these could exist and bring ideas stated above, smart debuff, health debuff, weapon debuff, list goes on
the most controversial i believe: heavy sniper: a sniper closer to the ideas of mainstream fps games, locked into the heavy tier. to justify the heavies aren't meant to be parkouring all over the place, so a sniper would work. but yeah i know bad company 2 your entire team is full of heavy snipers with the "my team will do it" mentality
