Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone can help me with a step by step build and what race I should be I like to be a class that summons and relies on pets to do the job is there a class that can do this? For example if you played Torchlight or Diablo 2 the Alchemist and the Necromancer were classes that relied on their pets and were very strong you just sit back and watch em rip everything to shreds what perks you suggest me getting and what spells should I be looking to get and what race I was wondering are summons strong enough to kill or help you on dragon fights? please anyone also do summons get strong enough so you can just kill heaps of guards cause I like to sometimes save my game and then go crazy on a city and kill everything thank you so much if someone can give me a detailed guide for that is noob friendly I will be very happy or even email me one thank you I look forward to reading all your replies.

There is nothing like that in this game since dogs die pretty easy you could be a Necromancer focusing on conjuration and destruction if you want.

This isn't going to help much either, but I told a friend of mine, also his first ES game, to have no preconceptions when starting out. Just do what you want for a while, try a bit of everything, then you'll figure out what you like, and then focus on that. In my opinion 'Class' doesn't really fit with Skyrim. You can do anything you want. Just play, and stick with what feels natural to you.

Then what does conjuration do? someone else said it was possible with a conjuration build so obviously you are not helping.

Methinks your edit would have been better served to sound less ungrateful rather than basically saying "FU... oh.. but thanks anyway"

I know alot of people would give alot of things to be in your shoes. First time in a TES game is the most memorable thing playing a video game. Ignore the step by step build suggestions and take your STEP in to the world!

1. This game doesn't have classes.
2. Anyone can use summoning spells, but most are short term and have nothing to do with pets.
3. Anyone can get a dog, but they have nothing to do with summoning spells.
4. None of them are really strong enough for shred much of anything.

Skyrim isn't Diablo. What you're asking about simply doesn't exist in this game.

Yes and Flaming Familiars are particularily useful cause they blow up and if you get a high enough skill you can have boss level characters follow you around for up too 2 minutes i think.

you'll enjoy the game so much more if you just play, and not try to power-level, or limit yourself with 'classes'. Just soak it all up, then later power-level/max stats

Up your Conjuration until you can summon Dremora. Eventually, you will even get a perk allowing you to summon 2 at once. Dremora can easily tear apart any enemy, especially if theres two of them. Search YouTube, there's a video on their of a guy's summoned Dremora killing a dragon that I've seen.

to get the summons/spells u need the books can be found or bought in general good stores or mage in whiterun (dragonreach) or college of winterhold yah magicka and hp ill say, stamina only if u want to carry more stuff :P

enchants are basic, when u are able to either enchant with reduce cost for ur school of magic (conjuration for example) or get mana regeneration (or both with the last perk of enchanting) u can also get 2 reduce cost for different schools of magic but remember that resist to magic enchants are awesome too ;D

regarding that and the question about races high elves start with magicka boost and racial to get mana reg like crazy for 1 min per day (if im not mistaken on the 1min part)

or breton has resist to magic and racial to absorb magic :D

gluck try lotz of stuffs skyrim is fun :)

Step-by-step:

Skyrim starts you out in a wagon...leading you to your execution. After you arrive and get in line with the other prisoners the guy reading the role turns to you and asks your name. BOOM...the story pauses and you get a user interface where you craft your character's APPEARANCE. Yes...some races have some natural aptitude with spells while others more physical, etc. But, in the end it doesn't really matter. Your skills are those that you choose to use most of.

What you are talking about is Conjure spells such as Cast Spirit Wolf and BOOM a spectral wolf appears and attacks your enemy. The initial story of Skyrim is a sequential setup, but you will eventually be free to do whatever you want. If you want to create pets that fight for you then you will want to USE spells which create pets...the more you use a skill the more you will increase in that skill. In Skyrim you automatically get better at what you do no matter what you are doing...as long as you keep doing that thing.

I think the problem some players are having is trying to be a little of everything i.e. using different spells AND carrying swords AND carrying bows, so instead of having a Conjure skill of 100 so that they can watch their pets tear apart thier enemies they have skills of 25 in conjuring weak pets that don't get the job done, 25 in doing OK archery, 25 in wearing some armor, and 25 in some use in swords. It doesn't sound like you have that problem...you obviously already have decided on focusing on conjure spells...just stick with it and you will eventually be able to create pets that are fun to watch. Until then you will need to conjure pets that don't get the job done the first time...you will need to run and hide...restore your magicka...and conjure another pet...over and over until your skill increases and your pets get more powerful. You can also find a teacher that you can purchase skill levels...upto 5 skill levels per character level.

i played a mage with conjuration as main school, thats the summon-pets-that-kills-everything school. i've used robes and circlets with 0 armor. race doesn't matter much i think but i used imperial i think they are called, it said they were good with magic and combat and i wanted to sumon creatures and weapons so it seemed appropriate.

i'm level 40 now and it's been really fun and easy to kill stuff, especially when you have 2x dremora lords up that just runs from room to room killing everything super fast and doing cool finishing moves sometimes like decapitation. everytime an enemy is nearby they shout "a challenger is near" which has been helpful in dungeons, allowing me to prepaire my armor spell. i thought it would get old hearing them shout that all the time but it never did :).

If you start as a Breton you get summon Familiar right away. They also get a bonus towards Conjuration, so that will help you get started.
If you join the mages guild then you can not only buy all available conjuration spells from the conjuration trainer there (once you reach the right level) but you can also befriend your fellow mages, who will follow you one at a time if you do a quest for each of them.
Now you have 1 pet, and 1 follower. However, your follower can summon pets as well! That brings you to 2 pets (yours and your follower's) and a follower, so now you are a party of 4.
There are several dogs in the game that can follow you besides having a human(oid) follower, pick one up and you have a party of 5.
At level 100 of conjuration you can learn to double-summon or raise, so you'll have 2 permanent pets/zombie-slaves. That makes 6.
However (and now it gets silly) you can raise two summoner mages who will summon Frost Atronachs for themselves! That makes 8.
If you equip them with a staff of summoning before you raise them, they should use those staffs once raised from the dead, which leads to a party of 10.
And if you were feeling really generous, you could give your companion a staff like that too. Party of 11!
Now your framerates have probably crawled to a halt, but your group will steamroller over everything.
