New to the PC..well sort of

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 2:31 pm

Well, I haven't played TES on the PC since Morrowind....I just recently built myself a new PC because my old one finally died after 7 years.

to make a long story short, why did you people not beat me to death for allowing me to get this on Xbox? :P j/k

Seriously though....on the PC this game is just stunning...Ultra Graphics + High Resolution texture pack...its just like playing a new game....its absolutely astounding!

Adding and removing mods is pretty easy, and i am actually going to start modding myself here soon.

I just wanted to give props to Bethesda and the Community...the PC version of this game is bar none the best....bar none...great job Bethesda!

I'm so glad you posted this here and not on the "General Discussions" forum. Over there you would have started a huge cataclysm of butthurt and probably earned yourself a temp-ban in the bargain.
Happy gaming.

I have to agree with you in regard to the PC version over the Xbox one. The Xbox one is screwed to the moon and back, even with the updates and six months worth of patches it's still as bad as the release version, ok they have fixed a lot of quest related bugs, but the game is really unstable on that machine, I can't play for more than an hour without crashes or freezes and that's with a new shaped 250GB black machine.

I took a chance and bought it on th PC and haven't looked back, I've a few minor faults regarding graphics drivers, but I've sorted out the biggest gripes with shadows and the like through the ini settings, I've reached level 42 without any major glitches the unusual gems are still bugged in the inventory, not stacking properly, the soul gems pile up too until you remove them into an empty drawer and recollect them, which stacks them in a better state.

All in all though, I'm far happier with the PC version, although for the sake of stability I'm staying clear of mods for the moment.
