Ok, so I want to buy a strategy guide, but the only one I have access to offline, is the standard edition. But I noticed that the Collecter's edition has 32 extra pages. Whats the difference other than the hardcover? Whats on those 32 pages? Is it all the same info?

That must be the "Behind the Bright Lighta & Big City" section at the end, it's 31 pages long.

It's a collection of concept art and a description of the various factions, including short histories.

And the concept art is very cool. Wish the CE had a whole, proper art book.

I like that the guide is hardcover, and though the pages are a bit thin (I can't believe that many pages fits into that thin a book), they are, as mentioned, nice and glossy.

Is it just me, or have the font sizes in these guides become a lot smaller?

You can buy it off amazon for less than the retail price of the normal guide and no tax either (unless you live in Kansas, Kentucky, New York, North Dakota, or Washington)

being hardcover is a big deal, actually. these will more than likely be limited printings.

the book itself is quite detailed and robust. sturdy. dont know about the normal edition, but it includes a large double sided map of the Mojave wasteland and imortant interior areas. a great purchase i think.

yeah the extra art section is a great plus.

I would have bought the collectors edtion, but I was lucky just to get the regular edtion. They just didn't get that many in at release day.

Hopefully its more acurate the original is full of mistakes and inacurate information.

Hardback, glossy photos at the end and overall just a nice quality book. A bit more difference than what you would find between most other paperback and hardback editions of books in general. And hardbacks are normally about $10 more than the paperback version.

They are "limited" because they do have a limited edition # inside them. I don't know how many copies they printed, but it's not "limited" like 1,000 copies or something. It's "limited" like a zillion copies.

The hardcover just makes it more durable than paperback, though, which is fantastic, and yeah, get it off Amazon, the price is great.

I have the CE Strategy Guide.

Its pretty nice, but has some inaccurate information within it.

Such as claiming that if you had 1 INT, all your options for dialog would be VERY stupid (Like how it was done in FO1 & 2). I've made a 1 INT character, the game plays exactly the same, I was pretty disappointed.

I don't expect a guide to be 100% accurate, I mean you get things like typos and stuff, that will always happen. But I expect it to be pretty darn accurate.

I don't think there'd be a different between regular and collector's in terms of the main content though.

But that's disappointing about those INT dialogue options! I looked at those and laughed so hard - they were hilarious!

Ok thanks guys, the main thing i was concerned about was if the information is different. My EB Games is out of stock for both, and my Chapters only carries the standard, but I do have a Chapters giftcard, so it's almost free. I usually go for limited everything. I got the last Collecter's Edition of New Vegas in Ontario. Looks like I missed out on the guide because I don't have a credit card, and my mom won't let me because games are a waste of time. Looks like I'm headed for Chapters

The only complaint i Have about my CE strategy guide is that some of the lettering has smeared where i place my finger to hold my spot on some of the pages. at first i thought the obvious, i had water or some liquid on my hands, but it has smeared several times after i made sure to have dry hands. of course i was totally bummed!

I haven't gone through mine to give a definite review of whether it is better than the standard one or not because I haven't played much of the game since buying it. I've been busy.

Reading isn't only fun, it's fundamental.

The book says, and I quote: "Intelligence affects occasional conversations you can have with Mohave Wasteland folk."

So often these boards are filled with people who fail at reading.

The CE is stitch-bound. This is all you need to know to make a decision; i.e. if you know/care about what this means it will dictate your pick.
