New Vegas Collectors Addition with ALL Pre-Order Packs!

Post » Sat Mar 26, 2011 5:52 pm

Bethesda and/or Obsidian, I would strongly appreciate if you put in all the Pre-Order packs into the collectors edition. Being a collectors edition and me a Fallout lover, I think having all Pre-order packs would be a awesome addition. This is what a CE is for, the name says it - "Collectors" edition, and I simply do not see and would not make sense why you wouldn't put them in. I've always wanted everything out of all my games, and this would simply do it. Think its too much? Well add a couple bucks to it, those who are buying the CE are probably very fond of this game and wouldn't mind spending the extra bucks on it (talking anywhere around 10-20 USD.) Thank you so much Bethesda/Obsidian for making the greatest RPG's in my life. Please consider this and I would greatly appreciate it! :fallout:

Also, if you have already pre-ordered it, from what consumer & why - which pack do you think is the best considering Bethesda does not put all the packs into the CE?

The reason we have those pre order sets is so the different companies selling the game can offer something different from the others. It's a marketing gimmick. So, that's not going to happen.

I don't think it would be a good idea or that it will even happen. They already have the collectors edition out for pre-order and people(myself included) have alrady put money down on it.

It would also un-balance the game with all the equipment you get right off the bat.

I can appreciate the idea, I really can, but there's a reason the costumes are only from select locations. It's actually a practice I approve.

I would've liked a special pre-order with the CE :sadvaultboy:

It's not too late to change it! Please do so Bethesda or Obsidian!

But I might just have to be content with that comic and the cards.

But what is the differance between this and someone buying more then one copy of the game to get more then one pre-order set? Oh right - they get more money that way...... LOL Seriously though, no, I don't think all the pre-order items should be in the collectors, and besides, like the other poster hinted at, the pre-order sets aren't from Bethesda, they are from the companies that paid Bethesda to make those items in the game so that they could use them to convince people to buy from them instead of steam.... I mean someone else. I love steam, really, I do......... love.... them...

Exactly. The reason the retailers are offering the pre-order packs to begin with is to provide an incentive to buy from them. If you take that away there's no reason for the pre-order packs to exist in the first place. At this point I doubt Bethesda Softworks can violate the agreements they made with the retailers without said retailers being...well...pretty grumpy about it.

For the record I ordered from Amazon.com because I have a Prime membership so I got free release day shipping. I couldn't care less about the pre-order packs...I don't even remember which one I'll get. Heh. To me they're the digital equivalent of the temporary tattoos, crappy stickers, and various plastic junk that used to come in Cracker Jack boxes. Ask your parents. :D

Don't do it! You'll make me go poor! I don't want to spend an extra $20!

I'm so tired of these gimmicks of offering exclusive content with the preorder.

If I'm going to buy your game, no exclusive content will either make or break that decision.

As to where I special order from, i go to the store closest to my house. simple as that.

Not to mention the stuff that is exclusive to these preorders will probably become irrelevant after few hrs of gameplay.

If you want to entice me to preorder, how bout something substantial like a coupons to download the sound track on mp3.

Whoever came up with this exclusive preorder content needs to be shot.

And yes I will be preordering
