I've been into new Vegas and I have built up my rep to (liked). Now when I enter the gate from freeside it says key requireed to enter. I've already passed the credit check and I need access to finish quests. Anyone else run across this issue.

P.S. the monorail is blow up

I encountered this issue last night, 54 hours into the game and it seemed as though I would be forced to start over (the monorail was also blown up for me).
I decided to take my frustration out on the securitrons guarding the gate, and out of curiousity I checked their bodies, lo and behold they all had keys for the gate!
My reputation on the strip was damaged though, so I reloaded an earlier save, used a stealth boy and took out one of the securitrons without being noticed, then grabbed the key.
It's an annoying glitch, but thankfully there is a way around it.
